What we do is ephemeral. Campaigns run their course. Websites change. Nothing lasts.

It matters anyway.

Several years ago, we spent the better part of a year helping a client define their culture, their core values. It was an extensive research project and creative campaign. It was also a passion project for the CEO, something he was committing the rest of his career to.

The project was a success and had a profound impact on their employees, their hiring, really every part of their business.

Fast forward a couple of years and COVID. In the throws of that madness, our client decides to start a new business, manufacturing the same technology, but for new applications, new markets. As one does. That new company embodied the same core values, the same core culture.

A chance encounter at a trade show introduced our client to a potential customer for this new company. And not just any prospect, but one that could change everything.

Within a week of that first meeting, the CEO of that potential customer flew to Alabama to meet our client. (When does anything ever move that fast?)

And here’s the cool part. When the prospect arrived from California, all he wanted to talk about for the first part of the day was our client’s culture. He connected viscerally with all of the work we’d done; they shared common beliefs about business, about people, about collaboration and relationships. Since then, our client has more than doubled in size, in no small part because that prospect became a customer. There is no end of that growth in sight.

Without question, our collaboration with the client had real impact. The work we did together changed everything. He’s hired so many new people, impacting so many careers. And that’s just within the walls of his company. It’s also impacting the lives of his clients in similar ways.

That’s the coolest thing about this business. Seeing your work build more than just sales.

Getting to work with really cool, smart, passionate, creative people who care deeply about what they do—it really doesn’t get better than that.

The work has a finite lifespan.
But its impact can change lives.
